Help children identify and connect with their emotions
Provide children with quiet, self-directed, tangible ways to identify how they’re feeling, release the energy those feelings create, and calm down. Each bottle features a unique emotion, colour, and interactive element that ties to 1 of 4 emotions—happy, angry, scared, and sad.
Try using them as a part of a mindfulness activity or to develop emotional regulation skills – allowing the focus on the movement of the liquid through the tube to be used as the development of a visualisation of the emotion flowing through the persons mind and body. As described by brain scientist Dr Jill Bolte Taylor “When a person has a reaction to something in their environment, there’s a 90 second chemical process that happens; any remaining emotional response is just the person choosing to stay in that emotional loop.” The addition of a visualisation of that emotional reaction being acknowledged but then flowing through can be a powerful tool.
