What a Neat addition to the blow toy collection, but with the added benefit of this one being silent. The ball sits upon the bop of the red ring and children are challenged to blow with just the right about of force to levitate the ball and then catch it back on the ring. Or alternatively you just just let them have fun with a power blow and watch it fly. The added benefit of the children’s eyes watching the ball levitate and then land also supports visual motor development and visual tracking – essential skills for reading and writing.
Working on breath control is a terrific way to work on diaphragmatic control for speech and for self regulation. Playing with blow toys is also a great way for children to access this deep breathing to help them self regulate and to provide proprioceptive stimulation even if they don’t know that this is the aim.
