Parachute games provide opportunity for engaging group social and movement activities. Having children complete the up and down movements helps develop shoulder stability. Throw objects onto the parachute to maintain the motivation to keep shoulder movements going to keep the objects on the parachute. Have children lay under the parachute while waving the parachute up and down to provide a calming visual effect or use it as a static prop to provide a small visual space to reduce sensory stimulation when children need a calm down space.
